Product description

I was looking for a screwgate print-in-place carabiner and didn't find it, so I made it

⚠ This model requires a very accurate printer and good bed adhesion

 

I made this fun print in place model to hook things. I added a sping back action to feel like a real carabiner.

After printing, I recommend unlocking the screw first, and then forcing the gate open gently should free the parts.

Printing settings

Layer height : 0.2mm

First layer : if you don't have perfect first layer adhesion, I would recommend using a raft

Print orientation : the STL is already oriented 

Print time : around 1h on my prusa mk3s

 

Bonus (optional) :

I added an optional piece to glue on if you want to complete the screw part.

Note that the little hole should be facing up the carabiner in order for the thread to be perfectly aligned (as shown below).

I guess it is not technicaly print in place if you add this piece but nevermind

 

And obviously this is not for climbing 😅
