Product description

This is a mini christmas tree that uses the bridging capabilities of PLA to make branches.

Every tree is unique as you have to cut it and shape it yourself !

Printing settings

These are the settings I used for my print, it was specificaly designed for those settings, especially the nozzle size and layer height.

Nozzle : 0.4mm
Layer height : 0.2mm
Material : PLA

       2. Post-processing :

Print the tree upright, it uses an outer cylinder to hold the branches. The branches are juste bridging from the trunk to this outer cylinder that we then have to get rid of.

Carefully cut the outer cylinder with a blade (scissors also work but it is less precise) :

When it's done cut the branches in the shape of a christmas tree. To do that, use a pair of scissors. Cut bit by bit, follow the angle of the top cone. Don't cut too much at once as this could bend the branches in an unnatural way.

Once it is cut in a nice cone shape I run my fingers along the tree to bend the branches downwards and give it a more realistic look :

You can shape it however you want, and that makes every tree unique !
